Thank you to the Home Counties Committee for giving me the opportunity to be involved once again in flower arranging at Westminster Abbey.
A truly wonderful experience with the added bonus of entering the Abbey before the crowds and really being immersed in the architecture and fabulous surroundings unspoilt by visitors.

I was chosen along with fellow flower arranging friend and Canvey Floral Art Club and Spectrum Designer club member Penny Hyde. We had the honour of arranging flowers at the High Altar for the Dame Vera Lynn memorial service being held on Monday 21st March 2022.
The Westminster Abbey Flower arranging team do all the hard work. Everything is prepped and ready for us, we have the sole purpose of creating a stunning 10ft pedestal each, either side of the High Altar- no pressure! But certainly achievable with such beautiful flowers and foliage provided for us. The colour theme was Red, White and Blue the colours of the National flag for Dame Vera Lynn a National treasure.

Spending time with fellow flower arrangers doing what we love. Sharing our passion of flowers. The perfect time out from busy lives, busy minds and from the worries and concerns of others around the world. A moment in time to just arrange wonderful flowers in memory of a wonderful lady in an absolutely fabulous setting. It was a privilege. Thank you again for the opportunity.
Wishing you All Fun, Friendship & Flowers
Tracy Beaumont
